Ender IO 8.1.0-beta
For this release, we have focussed on Ender IO's internals in preparation for newer versions of Minecraft. With that said, we have added a number of new features and squashed a bunch of bugs. As we've changed a lot in the backgronud, please let us know about any new issues discovered during play.
Note that this probably won't drop in and play nicely immediately with some modpacks - you'll need to give modpacks time to update any custom recipes or questlines to match.
We've still got more features that we would've liked to get into this release, but we don't want to sit on all these bug fixes. Of note is the Killer Joe which should be following shortly after this release.
Addon Developers
This release marks an API freeze, its now safe for you to update your integrations - we won't break anything again on 1.21.1. Some APIs are still marked as experimental, but we don't see any reason to change these at this time.
Features
- Recipe rebalance and alloy reshuffle
- Removed Copper Alloy
- Changed recipes for other alloys, most notably pulsating alloy is now cheaper.
- Sag mill no longer requires dark steel.
- Conduits are now all named similarly to cap banks etc. (normal, energetic and vibrant) and recipes are adjusted to match

- Capacitors can now be fed into machines from automation (they cannot be removed, this would be irritating).

- Tank recipes now use SizedFluidIngredient - this will unfortunately break custom tank recipes, but is definitely a change for the better.
- Tags for outputs will prefer Ender IO resources first, then will pick the first valid match, we may improve on this in future.
- We've updated the XP bottle recipes to use the experience tag.
- Added a validator to ensure soul binding soul data properteis are mutually exclusive (#1163)

Experiments
Experiments are new features locked behind feature flags, these are work-in-progress and shouldn't be enabled on your primary world.
8.1.0 removes the dark steel tools/armor experiment because it was in notably poor shape - these will return once again once we have rebuilt this part of Ender IO.
