Changelog
v1.6 - Glitches & Feedback:
This version fixes a few bugs that caused excessive loading times for world generation, loading and saving.
Removed Glitchcore (copyright), Modernfix (interference), ThreadTweak (game crashing & interference), and ESF (Entity Sound Features).
The config file has also been cleaned up, removing many excessive files from previous versions.
Optimization tip: Disable shaders on loading, creating or saving a world to decrease save times drastically.
v1.5 - Further Optimization and Texture fix:
This version added about 30 more mods.
Added about 30 FPS performance and stability mods
Fixed custom UI - buttons were overlapping
Added a secondary texture pack - the first one didn't cover many of the blocks
Fixed 3D texture rendering issues
Updated Minecraft screen with better sounds and graphics
Added a few mods to improve the performance of the textures
Reintroduced distant horizons (shouldn't take up as much time and resources to generate chunks)
This version increased the FPS by about 10-20 frames; Tested on MacBook Pro 2014
v1.4 – Optimization & Feature Expansion
WARNING: This version contains 150+ mods:
Added multiple performance presets (intensity tiers) for lower-end and high-end machines
Began testing lightweight seasonal and GUI/HUD mods (pending integration)
Improved compatibility handling when toggling mods with file-based logic
Continued searching for a lightweight terrain mod to replace EpicTerrain/Nullscape
Final version of UI supports:
Shader switching with preview support
Mod toggling with dependency awareness - (name)
Resource pack stacking and fallback priority
Reintroduced the First Person Model
No longer running Faithful 64x due to glitchy experience
Takes use of a physics mod that is disabled on startup due to its incompatibility with macOS
Running at a solid 20-30 FPS; Tested on MacBook Pro 2014
v1.3 – In-Game UI + Mod Manager System
Introduced fully custom UI accessible with a hotkey:
Allows toggling mods, shaderpacks, and resource packs
Uses file movement between folders, not config toggles for sustainability
Uses a basic search bar to help users find the files they want
Ensures dependent mods cannot be toggled if required by others
Includes an “Apply Changes and Restart” button to reload Minecraft with changes applied
Categorized mod/shader/resource displays for cleaner navigation
Copies default mod mapping from:
resources/realismmodmanager/mod_config_map.json
→ into .minecraft/config/realismmodmanager.json
v1.2 – Shader Compatibility & Cross-Platform Testing
Fully tested and confirmed cross-platform shader compatibility with:
MakeUp Ultra Fast Shaders
Complementary Shaders
Solas removed (not compatible with macOS)
Cross-platform compatibility confirmed (macOS, Windows, Linux)
Initial groundwork laid for performance tiering (planned FPS optimization paths)
v1.1 – Stability & Crash Cleanup
Removed mods due to crashes or performance issues:
EpicTerrain – terrain too large and unstable in many seeds
Nullscape – overly random End generation; Chorus Fruit missing entirely
Ecologics – crashed game on load
Added Terralith as an alternative
Repurposed Structures – missing required MidnightLib v1.5.7+
Presence Footsteps – Mixin crash due to invalid sounds.json
First Person Model – high lag on all test machines
Effective disabled (kept only as a dependency; item descriptions not used)
Reduced bloat, improving startup time and general stability
Total mods trimmed but still 40+ active mods remain
v1.0 – Initial Build (50+ Mods)
Assembled full first version with over 50 mods, including:
Terrain generation: EpicTerrain, Nullscape, Ecologics
Immersion and audio: Presence Footsteps, Effective, First Person Model
Structure generation: Repurposed Structures
Visual enhancement mods, shaders, and UI packs
No in-game tools for managing or modifying the modpack at runtime
Included glowing shaders like Solas (later found incompatible on macOS)
Performance issues reported, especially with heavier terrain and first-person rendering mods
