Adds two new bear mobs to Minecraft.

Grizzly Bear

  • Spawns in warm taiga biomes
  • Neutral mob that can become hostile when provoked
  • Drops Bear Skin (0–2, affected by Looting)

Panda Bear

  • Spawns in jungle biomes
  • Replaces vanilla pandas

The mod was originally made for the SoftWind modpack, but can also be used standalone.

Bear stats and behavior can be configured in softwindbears-common.toml.
Spawn rules are defined via biome modifier datapack JSON and can be overridden with a datapack.
